Museumification of cities or urbanization of the future?
The roundtable MUSEUMIFICATION OF CITIES OR URBANIZATION OF THE FUTURE will take place at the 25th SPIEF (San Peterburg International Economic Forum) the 16th of Jun.
“Much of the public discussion about cities with important historical heritage revolves around the contradiction between urbanization and museumification. Should they be developed or preserved? On the one hand, no one would deny the importance of preserving a historical environment; after all, a city is a space of history. On the other hand, cities need to be constantly renovated.”
But as well the historical heritage has be promoted: tourists and citizens must have the possibility to see but above all to enjoy it.
A new technologies’ paradigm based on 5G, cloud, precise geolocalization, Augmented Reality, Metaverse, etc. delivers a new way to walk along our history.
Fabio will describe his experience trough projects (Vasari, Turism 3.0, Metacity) where the technology mediate the enjoyment of a city; because museification of the city is not mummification of it.
Fabio Cacciatori, Digital Expo / Illogic’s founder, will take part in this important conversation along with Boris Bernaskoni, Mounir Bouchenaki, Zorina Myskova, Alisa Prudnikova, Anna Trapkova, Anton Finogenov.
